Thesis - 5th year project

This project proposes a single, integrated care building for twenty‑four residents with advanced dementia on the Besòs riverfront in Barcelona. Two open‑air voids bring daylight and orientation deep into the plan, while communal spaces and connections to Besòs Park create a calm, legible environment rooted in nature and neighborhood life. The design supports dignity, autonomy, and a seamless transition from independent to assisted living.
